What is life all about? What is the meaning of life? What does it mean to be HUMAN? These are common questions asked by all of us. Not knowing why we are created often makes life dull and meaningless. Not knowing our purpose in life often results in confusion and lack of direction. We look around and follow the latest trends, look to hang out with the coolest people and often focus our attention and energy on the unimportant issues of life. Sometimes we wonder if we should really be here at all.
God is clear about why we are here. He is clear about who we are in Christ and why we were created. He gives an overall direction in our lives through the Bible. Simply put, we are to Love God and to Love People. We need to know these truths as it will radically change our lives. To know that God has created us for a purpose and that we were not an accident is important to living a full life. It will give us a right perspective of the God who loves us and cause us to look at others the way Jesus does.
King Josiah, one of the few good kings of Israel, was one such person who loved God and loved people. He sought God at an early age and found favor in God’s eyes. He had a deep love for God, stood up for what was right and was bold in making a difference in the lives of those he had influence over. This year, we will spend time looking at his life and his relationship with God.
The country we live in needs people who love God and love others as well. God wants to bring His love to all who live in this place. God wants to do this through us. Let’s partner with God in His work! See you at Teenstreet Malaysia 2009: HUMAN.
